Is College for me? Yes it is! No matter what your involvement with the criminal jusitice system is or how rocky your educational pathway has been, college may still be an option for you! Getting an education can be both empowering and scary for anyone. Due to many stereotypes and incorrect information individuals who have had involvement with the crimnial justice system feel pressure when looking at their options for higher education. Eduaction is something everyone should have access to. CUP partnered with the Prisoner Reentry Institute and designer Miles Barretto to create a handle held guide for individuals who have or have had involvement with the criminal justice system in order to smoothen the process of gaining insight on how they can best appraoch obtaining a higher education.

Prisoner Reentry Institute  PRI’s diversified portfolio reflects an overall focus on understanding what it takes for people to live successfully in their communities after contact with the criminal justice system, and on increasing the effectiveness of the professionals who work with them. We do this through our three main tracks of policy advocacy, direct service practice, and collaborative partnerships.
