On April 24th, 2014, Christine Gaspar, CUP's Executive Director, participated in "Who Owns the Digital City?" at UCLA's Luskin School of Public Affairs. The conference explored how information and communications technologies are changing the social experience in cities.

Christine spoke on a panel on social interaction and civic participation alongside Fred Turner, author of From Counter Culture to Cyberculture; Paul Dourish of UC Irvine; and Catherine Geanuracos of New Economy Campaigns.
