CUP is seeking a summer intern

CUP is seeking a summer intern

CUP is seeking a summer intern to provide support for the organization and on our Youth Education and Community Education programs.

CUP is seeking a summer intern to assist with several projects, including:

+ Research/general project support on CUP’s Community Education tools

+ Design production work for print using Adobe CS products

+ Production work on our education tools, including painting, assembling, silkscreening, etc

+ Digital archiving of past Youth Education projects

+ General project support, as needed. This may include research, database and website upkeep, and administrative work

We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate with a background in design and excellent verbal and written communication skills—a friendly phone manner is a must. Proficiency in Adobe CS is required. A background in planning or previous experience working with community or advocacy organizations is a plus.

Position dates are flexible, based on the candidate’s availability, but we anticipate a start date in May or June. We’re looking for candidates who can be in the office at least two days a week, over the course of the summer. The internship pays $11 hourly, or interns can choose to receive school credit if their school offers it.

Please send a resume, letter of interest, contact information for two references, and up to five pages of clearly labeled sample design work, as one PDF (not to exceed 3MB) to apply@welcometocup.org by 5pm on Monday, April 18th. Please use the subject line “CUP Summer Intern.”

No phone calls, please.

CUP is an equal opportunity employer and strongly encourages people of color, women, LGBTQ, and disabled candidates to apply.
