We all get sick at one time or another. It can be scary, and also confusing to sort through your options. How do you decide where to go? And who will see you?
In the spring of 2013, CUP teaching artist Doug Paulson worked with College Now students at East Brooklyn Community High School for Public Service in Bushwick, Brooklyn to take the pulse of health in the borough.
They visited a variety of health-related spots in New York City: a hospital, an urgent care clinic, a community health center, and more. They interviewed health policy advocates about access to health care for undocumented immigrants, and lawyers about patient’s rights.
They’ve taken what they’ve learned along the way and created a funky website to explore the ins and outs of inpatient and outpatient care.
