Old School New School debut presentation

Old School New School debut presentation

New York City has public high schools with every imaginable theme, a dizzying array of application requirements, and charter schools galore. Choosing from one of NYC's over 400 public high schools can be a real task. How do you decide where you go to school? And what's at stake?

This past spring, a group of NYC public high school students, CUP, the Resilience Advocacy Project (RAP), and teaching artist Douglas Paulson investigated the high school application process. Through interviews, adventures, and a small time machine, they illuminated this daunting but mandatory milestone, and made a website to help break it down to middle school students, parents, and guidance counselors. Welcome to Old School New School.

Please join us for the first-ever presentation of this project. The group will present their brand new website, a series of videos and animations, and their giant bookmark describing the application process timeline. All attendees get a free giant bookmark!

Free and open to the public.
RSVP by 5 pm on Friday, July 20 here.
