Kit ULURP Printable Workshop Materials

To make CUP’s “What is ULURP?” toolkit more accessible to local organizations, advocacy groups, and individuals CUP created a downloadable and printable version of all the toolkit’s materials. Just like the toolkit, the printable workshop materials include everything you need to learn about ULURP—the different players involved, the process, and the role each plays in the decision-making process. The printable materials are available in both English and Spanish. Inside the download link are all the pieces you need to get hands-on with the process, as you take a metaphorical sandwich through the layers of government and public review required by ULURP.

The download includes prints of:

•  Player Markers for Wall Chart (8.5×11)
•  Player Background Cards (8.5×11)
•  Role Cards (8.5×11)
•  Tent Cards (11×17)
•  Developer Script (8.5×11)
•  Rezoning Script (8.5×11)
•  Paddles (11×17)
•  ULURP Voting Ballot (8.5×11)
•  Who’s Who Handout (8.5×11)
•  ULURP Process Handout (11×17)
•  Sandwich Diagram (11×17) — this can be printed larger as well!

To complement the printable workshop materials, download the 168-page guidebook that uses simple diagrams and case studies to show how ULURP works and provides step-by-step instructions on how to role play the ULURP process. Download the guidebook here.

The printable materials and guidebook can be used to configure a workshop focused on your group’s specific neighborhood or organizing goals, so you can lead your own workshops and discussions on how you would re-envision your neighborhood.

CUP designed the toolkit in collaboration with designers Lynn Kiang and Katie Lee of Dome and an advisory group of dozens of local organizations and advocacy groups.
