CUP is hiring a high school summer intern!

CUP is hiring a high school summer intern!

We’re looking for a current public high school student who has participated in a CUP project to be a paid intern with us this summer. This would be a great opportunity to learn more about CUP, build your resume, and get real office work experience. You will help out with different projects in the CUP office.

Internship start and end dates are flexible depending on your schedule, but we expect you to start in early July. We’re looking for a student who can be in the office at least 8 hours a week, for about 8-10 weeks. The internship pays $10 per hour.

If you are interested, please send us an email at fielding@welcometocup.org by 5PM on Monday, June 11th. The email should include:

1) Your name, address, and phone number where we can reach you.

2) The name of a reference (like a teacher, counselor, employer, etc.) and their phone number and email address.

3) Answers to the following questions:

+ What CUP project did you work on?

+ What new skills did you learn from that project?

+ What CUP project skills would you like to teach to other students?

+ What was the best part about working on the project?

+ What do you like to do in your free time?

+ What do you want to do after you graduate?

+ What’s your favorite thing about living in New York City?

+ Why do you want to work at CUP?

+ What professional or creative skills will you bring to CUP?

Please use the subject line “CUP summer intern” in your email.

No phone calls, please.

CUP strongly encourages people of color, women, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities, and others who may contribute to the diversification of ideas to apply.
