Civic Engagement Day with Community Voices Heard!

What does it mean to be civically engaged? What actions are associated with civic engagement? How can someone under the age of 18 participate in their community? CUP hosts a Civic Engagement Day as part of each of our Youth Education programs where we invite community organizers to meet with our students and explore ways for them to continue their civic engagement after the project is completed. 


On May 23, 2017, Mass Engagement Director Aaron Jones of the member-led multi-racial organization Community Voices Heard spoke with public high school students on participatory budgeting and getting your voice heard.
