Launch of Healthy Salons For All

On May 1st, CUP launched Healthy Salons For All, a multilingual (English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Nepali) guide for nail salon workers and their customers. A Making Policy Public collaboration of CUP, Adhikaar, and designers Welcome Workshop, the fold-out poster illustrates safe workplace practices and offers nail salon customers tips on how they can help improve working conditions for nail technicians.

The project was launched on City Hall steps as part of a press conference with the New York Healthy Nail Salons Coalition and Public Advocate Letitia James. Adhikaar will distribute the poster through its allies in the citywide Healthy Nail Salon campaign and its monthly know-your-rights workshops.
