More New Yorkers than ever are trying to get public assistance to meet basic needs during the COVID-19 crisis. The project we created with the Safety Net Project and design studio All Other Services can help navigate this complex process.
Your Guide to Welfare in NYC breaks down how to apply for and keep public assistance. The guide shows each part of the application process, including the kind of documents you need to apply, problems you might face, and other resources you can apply for. It’s available in English and Spanish here.
